Here's the famous Easter Bunny! Hunter gave him a high-five and then cried. He has to remind us quite often now that he does NOT like the Easter Bunny!! Here's Hunter at the starting line! We arrived early (for once in our lives) so Hunter was in the front row. You can see on the field behind him there was candy tossed everywhere. It wasn't the Easter "egg" hunt we were expecting but Hunter had a blast anyways. Unfortunately, he now thinks it is ok to pick up candy off the ground. I wish we could have personally thanked the child that threw their chewed gum onto the ground in the parking lot Hunter found as we were leaving!
Next time we will know to bring a helmet and shoulder pads for Hunter!! Not because of the other children, rather the number of parents that ran into him frantically scooping up candy for their kids. I think Jeremai and I had more fun laughing at the adults than Hunter had picking up candy with all the kids! Hunter got another chance at a true Easter egg hunt at Palmer College. He really enjoyed himself and actually like the Easter bunny for about 30 seconds... just long enough to get a snap shot.
Me at the clinic in Feira de Santana with one of the interpreters Lin. Here is a picture of a jeep that took us thru the mountains. Me and two of the clinic docs that came with. One has a practice in Conneticut and the other is an instructor at Sherman College in North Carolina and also has her own practice there.
A house outside of Feira de Santana. A view on our walk from our hotel to the village in Capao. A view out of our mountain jeep on our way to Capao. A waterfall along a mountain hike in Lencois. This is where we stayed while we were in the mountains of Capao.
A mountain hike on our way to the deep mountains of Capao. Our group on a mountain hike swimming in a mountain spring waterfall in Lencois. Our group on a mountain hike. We found colored rock we used to paint our bodies. As you can see some of us took it to a new level.

Waterfalls on a Mountain hike after a day in clinic in Feira de Santana.
This is a picture of a village of Capao in the mountains. We had to walk a mile on a dirt road to get to and from the hotel and village.
Here is a shot of our adjusting clinic. We are in a local school in Feira de Santana.
We are living in Eagle Idaho and LOVING it. The weather here is great, people are friendly, and our office has been very sucessful. The doors to Purpose Driven Chiropractic have been open for over a year and a half now! Hunter is loving life as a courious, hilarious, and highly intelligant 4 year old. He has been attending preschool at the Eagle Montessori and has really bloomed. His teachers love his presence. They report him has "loud, silly, and quick to participate." His favorite part of the day includes singing songs. His teachers say he is the loudest most enthusiastic singer in the class...even if he doesn't know the words!! We have also lost and added to our family. We had to put down our lovable lab due to a sudden illness. Hunter still pretends he is around. More excitingly we added little Landon Avyre to the Hafer crew. He is as cute as a button and LOVES to smile...almost as much as he loves his big brother. Hunter and Landon just adore each other and has been such a blessing to witness and experience the love and fondness they have for each other. We thank the Lord everyday for all of his blessings.
In desire of sharing more of our lives with our family and friends we have created this blog in hopes of lessening the distance. We will try our hardest to keep this page up-to-date so the memories we make as a new family will be available at your fingertips.
